We are pleased to invite you to an open workshop on Architectures for Cooperative Vehicle-Infrastructure Systems, organised by the CVIS project in the day after the 2007 ITS in Europe Congress in Aalborg, Denmark.
This informal event, open to all, will address the specific architectures being developed in the CVIS project for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication and networking, and for a selection of urban, inter-urban and freight&fleet cooperative applications and services. It will also feature interactive sessions focusing on architecture-related issues for future deployment. The workshop aim is to present and validate the various CVIS architecture views before entering the project's development and test phase.
The workshop is open to both CVIS project partners and to the ITS community in general. This is your chance to learn about the latest developments in Europe’s largest cooperative systems project, which brings together over 60 leading organisations to build the foundations for a future where vehicles and infrastructure will communicate – and enable an exciting world of new applications and services.
The final outcome of the workshop should be a better understanding of and agreement on the different elements that need to interface and interact seamlessly, in order that cooperative vehicle-vehicle and vehicle-infrastructure systems can work together to bring benefits to all users and stakeholders.
As this workshop will take place on the eve of midsummer’s day, a special social event will be organised on Wednesday night 20 June, in the heart of historic Aalborg. Workshop participants are also warmly invited to join in! Click HERE to register for the workshop and/or the associated social event.
