The 2009 CVIS General Assembly will be held at the Telecom Italia premises in Turin on 15 December. This will be the final occasion to bring together the CVIS consortium to review the results of four years of research and development in key topics such as continuous communications, IPv6 in ITS, high accuracy positioning and an application management framework to support deployment of a broad range of applications for efficiency and safety. The General Assembly will also discuss the exploitation of the CVIS open platform and CVIS service concepts towards field operational trials and commercial solutions.
Within the meeting of 15 December, demonstrations and a technical visit will be organised by Test Site Italy. CVIS consortium partners are also invited to stay on till 16 December, when TS Italy will organise an international workshop where CVIS and SAFESPOT projects will present their results to public administrations, road operators, service providers and suppliers.
