SISCOGA
SISCOGA is a 2 ½ year regional project funded by the Galician Government (INCITE program) and led by CTAG, which aims to carry out a small scale Field Operational Test on cooperative systems on the roads of Galicia, including vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure (v2X) applications. Project partners include CTAG, the Regional Galician Government and the DGT (Spanish road administration department). and DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico, Spanish Road Administration).
Its main objectives are:
- To define and put into practice evaluation methodologies applied to cooperative systems
- Interoperability assessment between different V2X technology providers and vehicles
- Testing by real users
Several Roadside Units will be installed in the road network covering the areas defined in the following figures, in the Galician area near Vigo, including urban and motorway areas. Some of the applications showcased will be a result of the ongoing C2ECom* project, where CTAG develops safety and information applications based on communication technologies.
